How to setup your profile

Your profile is your home on Tip.et. Here is how to make it stand out:

  • Choose a unique handle that your fans know.
  • Upload a high-quality avatar (portrait works best).
  • Write a short bio explaining what you do.
  • Link your profile on your social media bios and stream descriptions.

Claiming your identity

If you are a known creator, claiming your handle is essential to prevent impersonation.

  • Register with your primary email.
  • Complete the onboarding process to secure your username.
  • If your handle is taken by someone else, contact support for verification.

For Creators

OBS Overlay Setup

Real-time alerts for your stream. Set it up in minutes.

  • Copy your unique Overlay URL from the Dashboard.
  • Add a "Browser Source" in OBS.
  • Set the dimensions to 1920x1080.
  • Test your alerts using the "Trigger Test Alert" buttons.

TTS (Text-to-Speech)

Allow fans to speak their messages live on your stream.

  • Enable TTS in your Dashboard settings.
  • Set a minimum tip amount required for TTS to activate.
  • Choose whether to include simple tips or only custom gifts.

Withdrawing Earnings

We make it easy to get your money to your bank account.

  • Go to the Earnings & Payouts tab.
  • Enter your Bank details (CBE, Awash, etc.).
  • Submit a withdrawal request.
  • Standard processing time is 1-3 business days.

How to Top Up Coins

Use coins to support creators and send special gifts.

  • Click on "Top up Coins" in your profile or dashboard.
  • Choose your payment method (Telebirr or CBE Birr).
  • Send the amount to the provided merchant number.
  • Upload the screenshot or enter the reference code for instant balance update.
